Coastal Waters Wind Warning
For all South Australian Coastal Waters.
Issued at 9:20 pm CDT on Saturday 19 January 2008

Synoptic situation
a weak cold front in the Southern Ocean will move through coastal waters on
Sunday morning. A high 1028 hPa well south of Perth will move slowly eastwards
to be centred south of the Bight on Monday night.

Strong Wind Warning
for all South Australian coastal waters.
S/SE winds strengthening to 20/30 knots Sunday afternoon. Sea: 1.5 to 2.5 m
rising 2 to 3 m. Swell: S 1.5 to 2.5 m, increasing 2 to 3 m on southern South
Central and South East Coasts.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am CDST.

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

Cloud over far eastern SA under an upper trough is causing isolated light showers. Patchy low cloud on the coast in light onshore winds is not bringing rain. Skies are clear over the rest of the state in dry southeasterlies.

Gulf Waters Saturday: Afternoon and early evening seabreezes 18/23 knots, tending SE 13/18 knots late evening.<p>Sunday: S/SE 13/18 knots until around midday.
