Coastal Waters Wind Warning For all South Australian Coastal Waters. Issued at 9:20 pm CDT on Saturday 19 January 2008
Synoptic situation a weak cold front in the Southern Ocean will move through coastal waters on Sunday morning. A high 1028 hPa well south of Perth will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of the Bight on Monday night.
Strong Wind Warning for all South Australian coastal waters. S/SE winds strengthening to 20/30 knots Sunday afternoon. Sea: 1.5 to 2.5 m rising 2 to 3 m. Swell: S 1.5 to 2.5 m, increasing 2 to 3 m on southern South Central and South East Coasts.
The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am CDST.
Please be aware Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
