Evenings Regulars

Monday nights from 9pm Simon Longstaff from the St James Ethics Centre talks all things ethics. We then zip off and explore the universe with Astronomer Fred Watson from the Anglo Australian Observatory at 9:40pm.

Tuesday night means Zuel’s Gold! At 9pm we’re joined in the studio by Bernard Zuel, music journo from the Sydney Morning Herald. Check it out...

Wednesday night at 8:45pm Michael Bodey from The Australian takes us into the cinema to find out about the latest movies.

Thursday night after 8pm 'I Don’t Get It' is your opportunity to find out the answers to some of life’s mysteries using the collective wisdom of our listeners. Have you got something bugging you that you just don’t understand? What is that weird tower with no windows in Darling Harbour? How do spiders make their webs? Why do people decorate their front fences with concrete pineapples? These are just a few examples of problems we’ve solved.

The Evenings Book Club with Hazel Flynn

The next book club is on Tuesday November 20th 2007 at 8.15pm and we are looking at books that have made you cry. So think hard and join us on 1300 222 702 as we look at the tear jerkers that have had an affect on you.

Hazel Flynn is an author, editor, book reviewer, broadcaster and publisher. She is currently a commissioning editor at Murdoch Books; past roles include publisher of non-fiction at Random House, senior editor at Who Weekly and producer and presenter for ABC Radio. In 2004 Pan Macmillan published a book she co-wrote which was subsequently shortlisted for the HREOC Human Rights Award, Non-Fiction. From 2004 to 2006 Hazel did fortnightly book reviews on The Evening Show. She and James now present a regular book club on the show.
