Juanita Phillips presents the 7pm news bulletin in News South Wales.

Phillips returned to Australia in 2002 to join the ABC as a journalist and news presenter. She presented the weekend 7pm ABC News bulletins in New South Wales and the national late edition bulletins on weekends before being appointed to the role.

Juanita Phillips brings a wealth of experience to the ABC. Prior to returning to Australia, she co-anchored with CNN International in London, where she worked for four years in a variety of frontline roles, presenting rolling news and business programs. She was in the anchor's chair during major global events such as the Kosovo War, the allied bombing campaign against Iraq, the Turkish earthquake and the fall of Milosevic.

Before that, Phillips worked for the BBC, again as a co-anchor on international news programs. She presented coverage on the day of Princess Diana's funeral and was a regular host of BBC World's "The World Today".

In Australia, Phillips began her journalistic career with a cadetship at the Courier Mail in Brisbane, where she worked for 10 years, becoming a senior feature writer and columnist. She moved into television in 1991, reporting and news reading for the Ten Network in Brisbane and Sydney before moving to Sky News Australia.
