Arabian horses free to go to the show
Since the outbreak of horse flu last year, horse business have been frozen in place, unable to move. Now with the epidemic easing, and restrictions lifted an Arabian horse stud near Canberra can go to the show - an Arabian horse show in Victoria at Easter. We meet the very relieved owner. Australia's Chief Veterinarian says they're on target to eradicate the disease by mid March.
In defence of the humble coconut
The coconut is the most versatile of all agricultural products, but to the exasperation of its advocates, the Australian National Heart Foundation has not given it the "tick of approval." Dr Dan Etherington AM of Canberra has developed a coconut oil press for villagers to use, so they can be self sufficient in oil and food.
