Sixers Unveil 2007-08 Sixers Dancers at Beach Bash
The Philadelphia 76ers unveiled the 2007-08 Sixers Dancers during the Sixers Beach Bash on Saturday, Aug. 4 at La Costa Lounge located in Sea Isle, N.J. The event featured their first public appearance of the season for the Sixers Dancers.
The 16-member dance squad was chosen from 30 finalists that competed in the final auditions held on July 18 at Chickie’s & Pete’s Café in South Philadelphia. A panel of celebrity judges, Sixers Dancers Director Debbie Apalucci and members of the Sixers front office selected the final team based on a series of activities including photographs, modeling formal-wear and active-wear, and dance performances.
Under the direction of Apalucci, owner of Touch of Class Dance Studio in Broomall and West Chester, Pa., the Sixers Dancers are entering their 12th season as an integral part of the 76ers game entertainment package. They represent the 76ers organization at all home games and the many promotional and community appearances throughout the year. |
