How to make us your homepage
The Home page of your browser is the page which it goes to when it first starts up, and the page it returns to when you click on the "Home" button of your toolbar.
To set your browser to use Melbourne as your Home page:
Netscape Navigator 4.x for Windows 1. On the main menu click on Edit then select Preferences 2. Select Navigator from the category list
3. put in the URL of the Melbourne front page - http://abc.net.au/melbourne/
Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x for Windows 1. On the main
menu click on Tools then select Internet Options 2. Select Homepage
from the category list 3. put in the URL of the ABC Melbourne front
page - http://abc.net.au/melbourne/
Internet Explorer for Windows 3.1 1. On the main menu click
on View then select Options 2. Select Navigation from the category
list 3. put in the URL of the ABC Melbourne front page - http://abc.net.au/melbourne/
Opera 3.x 1. On the main menu bar click on Navigation and
select Set Home. 2. In the Global Home Page field, put in the URL
of the ABC Melbourne front page http://abc.net.au/melbourne/ Click
OK 3. On exiting Opera, select the Save Windows checkbox. 4. On
launching Opera, you will need to click on Home in the toolbar.
Internet Explorer 3.x for Windows 1. On the main menu click
on View then select Internet Options 2. Select Navigation from the
category list 3. put in the URL of the ABC Melbourne front page
- http://abc.net.au/melbourne/

then select General Preferences 2. Select Navigator from the category

Don't forget that you can bookmark any pages you like on ABC online. In both major browsers you do this by the keyboard combination Control-D (Apple-D for Macintosh users), and you can find the menu options for bookmarking sites under Bookmark (sometimes shown as a small green bookmark icon) in Netscape, and under Favourites in Internet Explorer.
