76ERS TO GET “BACK ON MY FEET” DURING GAME ON MARCH 7

FANS ENCOURAGED TO DONATE A NEW PAIR OF RUNNING SHOES FOR TICKETS TO UPCOMING SIXERS GAME

Philadelphia, PA - February 25, 2008 The Philadelphia 76ers are partnering with Back on My Feet, a non-profit organization which assists the city’s homeless population through running, and will collect new running sneakers from fans before their game with the Seattle Super Sonics at the Wachovia Center on Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. and donate these sneakers to Back on My Feet.

All fans who donate a new pair of running sneakers that evening will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to a Sixers game against the New Jersey Nets on March 22 or their game against the Indiana Pacers on April 11, at Wachovia Center.

Back on My Feet is a wonderful organization that is doing something to help those less fortunate,” said Sixers Senior Vice President of Business Operations Lara Price. “As an organization, we are proud to help them. And, by doing so, we’re asking our fans to help us, as well.”

To raise additional awareness for Back on My Feet and their goals, fans and the Comcast-Spectacor staff at the Wachovia Center, including event staff and team personnel, will all be encouraged to wear sneakers to the game, regardless of their choice of attire.

Leading up to the game, the Back on My Feet group will visit Sixers practice at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) on March 5, 2008 in order to meet with Head Coach Maurice Cheeks and the players for an inspirational message.

People are encouraged to visit the Back on My Feet web site at for more information about the organization, including ways to assist leading up to the Sixers-Sonics game on March 7.

“We’re thrilled to have the support of the 76ers,” said Anne Mahlum, Founder and President of Back on My Feet. “The staff and team both understand the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits that come from exercise and how those benefits overflow into other areas of life, such as work, family and of course self-value.”

Back on My Feet is a non-profit organization that promotes the self-sufficiency of Philadelphia's homeless population by engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem. Back on My Feet does not provide food nor does it provide shelter, but instead provides a community that embraces equality, respect, discipline, teamwork and leadership. There are no labels, no stigmas and no stereotypes. All members – regardless of race, education, socioeconomic status – join together as runners to move their own lives forward as well as the lives of their teammates.
