Battalgazi

Battalgazi is a town and a district of Malatya Province of Turkey.

Formerly named Eskimalatya (Old Malatya), the center town corresponds to the previous location of Malatya city, at a distance of 20 km from the modern day urban center and provincial seat of Malatya. The town was re-named in honor of Battal Gazi.
