Even without Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge the Portland Trail Blazers managed to knock-off Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday, 84-78, to close out the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with back-to-back victories.

For three quarters Wednesday night it looked liked the Portland Trail Blazers would get their first 2007 NBA Summer League victory, but costly mistakes down the stretch allowed the Los Angeles Lakers to rally for a 81-73 win at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Las Vegas, NV -- The Portland Trail Blazers returned to Las Vegas summer league action on Monday, but this time it was two scrimmage games at Durango High School.


A spirited fourth quarter rally by the Trail Blazers came up short on Sunday as the Dallas Mavericks held on for a 72-68 win in NBA Summer League action at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.

The Portland Trail Blazers have come to terms with four players selected in last week’s NBA Draft including center Greg Oden, the No. 1 overall selection. Portland also signed Finnish guard Petteri Koponen, Duke forward Josh McRoberts and Florida guard Taurean Green.

Greg Oden took to the practice floor for the first time as a Trail Blazer Sunday as Portland began preparations for NBA Summer League, which tips off later this week in Las Vegas. By all accounts the #1 pick in last week’s NBA Draft made a big first impression.
