  • Revealing mistakes: A few seconds after Michelle strikes a match on her leg, the sandpaper taped to her leg is visible.

  • Revealing mistakes: Just after Rabinowitz meets Topper, a shot of Rabinowitz is flipped. "US ARMY" is backwards on the right-hand side of his uniform.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: During the presidential groundbreaking ceremony, all presidents but President Ford get hit by Benson's shovel. Despite being uninjured, he also collapses to the ground. This probably is not an error, but a reference to Gerald Ford's history of accidental falls during his presidency, especially as the actor playing him says "Whoops!" immediately before falling over.

  • Continuity: In the "dim sum" fighting scene Topper decides against gummy bears to spike his gloved fists. However, when Topper accidentally hits the referee in the face, gummy bears can be seen sticking to the referee's right cheek and nose.

  • Continuity: When Saddam points his pistol at Topper and orders him to drop his gun, Topper slowly turns until his gun is almost pointed at Saddam. Yet a moment later when Topper lays the gun down, the butt end is facing Saddam.

  • Continuity: Topper gets shot in the arm, and you can see through his arm. When he talks to Ramada, the hole is gone.

  • Factual errors: When they are rigged to parachute in, their gear is in a free-fall configuration and they are wearing free-fall parachutes, but their chutes have a yellow static line that opens the chute automatically. Freefall parachutes don't have a yellow static line, they have a rip-cord that the jumper must pull themselves or is automatically deployed at 3000ft by an altimeter that the jumper wears on his wrist.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Topper jumps off the balcony after Saddam swings the sword at him, the stunt man's legs can be seen when Charlie gets up.

  • Continuity: When Topper and his team are on the plane, Harbinger is putting on "blackface". When they hook up to prepare to jump, his face is clean.

  • Factual errors: At formal affairs, President Benson is repeatedly announced as, "The President of the United States, Thomas Benson." The Japanese Prime Minister is similarly announced by his name. This is incorrect protocol. Heads of state are announced by their titles only, e. g. "The President and Mrs. Benson", and "The Prime Minister of Japan and Mrs. Soto".

  • Factual errors: When Topper is consoling Harbinger in the war camp, one of the boxes is labeled "Spinless Jellyfish," a misspelling of the word "Spineless."

  • Errors in geography: When Topper and co go on their rescue mission they make their way to the palace initially through the jungle. There is no jungle in Iraq. In fact, there is no jungle in quite a large radius around the area.
