• Continuity: Cher's asparagus dinner.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: The debate teacher refers to Cher as "Cher Horowitz," but the name on her report card (viewed when her father is looking at it, after the grades have been changed) is "Cher Hamilton." The piece of mail her father tosses aside right before looking at her report card says "Melvin Hamilton" also.
  
  
• Continuity: In the wedding scene, Mr. Hall's stand-in is half a foot taller and has different hair.
  
  

• Continuity: When getting ready for Christian's visit, Cher puts on eye make-up, lipstick, and lip-liner. In the next scene, as Dee applies powder to Cher's face, her makeup is missing.
  
  
• Continuity: When Christian is first seen standing in the doorway of Cher's class room, a boy in yellow runs by and a girl in blue walks the other way. In the next shot of Christian, the boy and girl are seen again going in the same direction they were going before.
  
  
• Continuity: The wing mirror that gets knocked off during the driving test is back on again at the end of the test.
  
  
• Continuity: Cher's drink disappears while watching Travis skate.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: All of the actors and actresses are supposed to be playing high-school students. Then in the scene with Elton and Cher in Elton's car, why can Elton be seen wearing a wedding ring?

• Continuity: When Cher and Josh are sitting at the top of the stairs in the wide angle shot Cher brushes her hair back, but it remains a little messy. The very next shot, a closeup, has her hair perfectly parted over her shoulder.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Tai and Cher are sitting at the table after working out, Cher says "...for a couple of hours." but mouths "...or something."
  
  
• Continuity: When Cher is choosing her clothes on her computer her right hand is shown in the close up but when the camera changes to focus on her, she is using her left hand.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mel and Josh are sitting at the dining room table working on documents for Mel's case, Cher comes down the stairs in her white dress. She is first seen at the top of the stairs, then the camera switches to Josh, who apparently is watching her walk down the entire flight of stairs. However, from where Josh is sitting, he can only see the bottom few steps and could not watch her descend the entire staircase.
  
  
• Continuity: In the mall scene where Tai is held over the balcony rail, when Cher and Christian get off the escalator, Cher is carrying a small purse that matches her dress. When they go to the bench to talk about Christian's black jacket, Cher puts the purse down on the bench next to her shopping bag. Later, Cher picks up her packages, but the purse is never seen again.
  
  
• Continuity: Cher's hair while being yelled at when she mistakenly took the files.
  
  
• Continuity: Dionne's Coke can when she talks with Cher and Tai.
  
  
• Continuity: The order in which Cher and Dionne stand in the tennis line changes three times.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Cher and Dionne are walking down the corridors, talkng on their mobile phones to each other about their report cards, Cher pushes down the aerial on her phone and it completely bends over.
  
  
• Continuity: Cher's surname is read out as Horowitz during the class attendance, but is later seen on her report card as being Hamilton. Also, the final credits credit her father as being Mel Hamilton, which suggests the latter is more correct.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: Some of the crew and director Amy Heckerling can be seen (briefly) reflected in a shop window through which Cher is looking.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: In the Hebrew translation subtitles, the conversation between Cher and Travis about a 12-step program is incorrectly translated as size 12 shoes.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: While Cher is by the phone, waiting for Christian to call, the shadow of a camera can be seen moving down the wall.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mel is talking to Josh in the kitchen the final time, a magnet can be seen on the refrigerator behind Josh. However, further into the scene, the magnet is gone.
  
  
• Continuity: When Cher is taking her driving test, she scrapes against a white car, causing her passenger mirror to be torn off. However, when the DMV proctor asks her to pull over, the mirror is still there and the car is unblemished.
  
  
• Continuity: When Josh drives Cher home from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones gig, the exterior drive-by shot shows an earlier one which was recycled (the one when Elton offered to drive Cher home from the party). Note that the car shown was Elton's Camaro rather than Josh's Honda. In addition, the interiors of the car during that scene are in fact that of a Camaro (compare to the earlier scene in Elton's car), not of Josh's Honda.
  
  
• Continuity: When Josh is in the kitchen he is holding the orange juice in his left hand. When he enters the living room, it's in his right hand.
  
  
• Continuity: Cher seems to have lost her yellow jacket by the time she gets home after school.
  
  
• Continuity: Murray parks the car outside the house when they arrive at the party. When Cher, Tai, Elton and summer are leaving, his car is gone.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When Cher and Dionne are driving to school, at one point the shadows of the crew, the camera rig truck, and boom microphones can be seen on the hedge behind Dionne. Once the Jeep turns the corner and Dionne lectures Cher on the importance of Stop signs, the shadow is no longer visible.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In gym class, when Dionne and Cher first meet Tai, they inform her that the school does not serve tea. However, when Tai is in the cafeteria conversing with Travis, you are able to view tea directly behind Travis.
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Cher is outside Circus Liquor, she says that she's in Sun Valley. Circus Liquor is a famous landmark in North Hollywood.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Cher and Dion are reading the card they wrote to Ms. Geist, Dion's speaking line does not match the words written in the card.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Summer is carrying the snowman out of the party to her car and is holding it, you can see the extension cord that the snowman is plugged into, but it's still lit when she shuts the door and the cord is hanging out the window. It is also still lit when she drives off.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Josh is talking on the phone with Cher, the books in the background are in two stacks with a space between them. But when it cuts back to Josh the books are pushed together.
  
  
• Continuity: Dionne's nose ring is not there when she gets into the jeep with Cher, but appears a couple of shots later.
