Gillian Sneddon[1] blew the whistle on former NSW minister Milton Orkopoulos. Orkopoulos has since been convicted on 28 charges, including having sex with three boys and supplying them with marijuana and heroin. Sneddon received a letter terminating her employment with the public service on the day she took the stand in Orkopoulos's trial. Since blowing the whistle Ms Sneddon has been on stress leave and has submitted a workers' compensation claim. Morris Iemma, NSW Premier, has washed his hands of Ms Sneddon, saying that her situation is a matter for the Parliament and not himself.
