The International Game Developers Association web site hosts the discussion forums formerly held on Gamasutra. The Gama discussion forums are now in an archived "read only" state. You'll can still read Gamasutra forum messages, but you can't post new messages. As an excellent independent organization for game developers, with active SIGs and local chapters located around the world, the IGDA site is positioned to capitalize on the power of discussion forums. Gamasutra's strength lies in publishing and online directories for the community, and we feel it's best for us to focus these strengths and let the IGDA site do what it's best at: fostering local communities of game developers and bringing developers with common interests from around the world together for the betterment of the industry. To participate in the discussions at the IGDA forums, you have to beome an IGDA member (a very worthwhile cause), or register for a free user account.
