Pairing Guide
Q:How do I 'pair' the Bluetooth Headset with the PS3?
A:Pairing is a process of associating Bluetooth devices with each other. It will establish a permanent security link between the devices and enable quick access to the services provided without the need to re-enter Pass Keys. You will only need to pair your PS3 and the Headset once.
Paired devices remain paired even when:
-One of the devices is powered off.
-A service connection is interrupted or stopped.
-One or both devices are restarted.
Pairing the Headset with the PS3
Before the Headset can be used with the PS3 the two devices must be ‘paired’ so they can communicate with each other. Use a gaming controller for this procedure and ensure that the Headset is unplugged from the USB charging cable and powered on (hold down the “Call button” until the “Battery indicator” starts flashing Blue).
1. Turn your PS3 off on the back for about 10 seconds and then back on. Power on your PS3 console with the touch power button on the front of the PS3.
2. Within the “Settings” menu, press X on “Accessory Settings.”
3. Press X on the icon labeled: “Register Bluetooth® Device.”
4. Scroll down and press X on the icon labeled: “Register Headset”
5. Press X on “Start Scanning”
6. Now prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3 by tapping the pairing button (Make sure the USB charging cable is unplugged and the headset is turned on before you try and get the headset into pairing mode). The LED will start flashing Blue and Red.
7. Once Scan is complete, the PS3 will recognize all Bluetooth devices within range.
8. Locate “8860” from the list of available devices and press X on its icon to be prompted for a Pass Key
9. Enter 0000 (four zeros) as the Pass Key and press X on OK
10. You should then be taken to a new screen stating: “Register completed”
11. Press O and go to “Audio Device Settings”. Press X on the “Input Device” and select “8860” (If you are unable to select “8860”, go to step 12). The headset will now be connected. It is best to change the Microphone level to 1 to eliminate any type of feedback. This will complete the pairing process.
12. Press X on the “Connect (Bluetooth®)” button, select “8860” from the list and wait for it to pair with the headset. Press “X” on “Input Device” and select “8860” (If “8860” has not been selected already).
