The fun starts midday Friday 2 May and finishes Sunday evening 4 May 2008.

For a unique experience, participate in the very popular Bathing Buddha Ceremony, open to everyone in Suncorp Piazza. This ceremony runs across the three days of the festival.

Some other highlights include watching the always loud and incredibly energetic lion dances, seeing multicultural performances or admiring the traditional Chinese arts and crafts demonstrations. On Saturday and Sunday nights the whole family will love the riverfront fireworks displays.

The festival is open and welcoming to everyone and Brisbane’s party will be the largest annual Buddha Birth Day Festival in the world. Join the 150 000 people expected to come along to South Bank for a peaceful and harmonious weekend, and take part in the free birthday celebrations.
