Wade MacNeil
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wade MacNeil (born May 5, 1984 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is one of the guitarists, vocalists and one of the founding members of the Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire.
His lead guitar, possibly inspired by older punk rock and straight forward rock and roll, is somewhat simpler on the second Alexisonfire album Watch Out!.
Wade and George Pettit (lead vocalist of Alexisonfire) were also in a side project, named The Black Lungs, with two members from the band Jersey, Jordan "Ratbeard" Hastings (current drummer for Alexisonfire) and Sean McNabb. Wade was the lead vocalist of this band, reminiscent of his first punk rock band Plan 9. However, the band broke up and Wade is left as the only member of the band. Wade currently uses the name as his solo project.
Wade is featured as a guest vocalist on the Bedouin Soundclash album Street Gospels.
Recently he has started playing his own acoustic set with his Alexisonfire bandmate, Dallas Green.
