Memel is a name, mainly used by Germans, and both for towns and rivers. It supposedly was derived from Old Prussian language, meaning "surrounded by water". It may refer to:

  • Memel -> Klaipėda city, formerly part of East Prussia and Germany, now as Klaipėda part of Lithuania
  • Neman River, known in German as (die) Memel, mentioned in Das Lied der Deutschen as eastern border of Germany
  • Nemunėlis River, known in German as Memele, and in Latvian as Mēmele
  • Memel, Free State, a village in the Free State Province of South Africa, named after Memel (Klaipeda)
