[edit] Career with Kiss
Singer had previously played in Paul Stanley's solo band, and auditioned for Kiss's recording of "God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II". Upon Eric Carr's death in 1991, Singer joined Kiss as a permanent member. He debuted with the band on the album Revenge. He appeared on MTV Unplugged when KISS performed.
In 1996, Singer was replaced by original Kiss drummer Peter Criss for a reunion tour with the original members. In 2001, Kiss chose not to renew Criss' contract, and Singer was brought back to the band, adopting Criss' make-up design and "Cat" character. Singer was briefly replaced again by Criss in 2003 for a series of shows, but returned to the band by the end of the year, after Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley opted not to renew Criss' contract.

[edit] Equipment
Eric chooses a variety of different setups for each situation and band he works with. However he is a loyal endorser of Pearl drums, Attack drumheads, Zildjian Cymbals and Ddrum triggers. Eric also has his own signature snare which he uses with KISS, the "Pearl Signature Series Eric Singer" snare drum. He also uses Zildjian "Eric Singer Artist Series" drumsticks. These are 2B-style (16" long & .620 diameter) hickory wood drumsticks with a heavier taper and larger wood tip for more projection.
His cymbal setup can include up to 8 of the same 19” Z Custom Rock crash cymbal.
