Made with Red/Green #10 threads and using a #5 needle. Can be made in many different colors of choice. I made this one with red and green for a Holiday Doily. Can be done using split rings/chains if you are use to making them. This pattern will be written for each round as made.  You will notice the direction show Sm, Md, and Large Rings.

After your set of (9) double rings and chains, make the next chain over and do.

Now work the bottom and around the other side from * matching the first side.
Border: Start on the left side of the very top this time to start your chains around.
Join thread to center p of left center chain, do 15 ds join to center of next top right chain.
Ch 12 ds join in next center p of next chain, work around the side to the bottom  doing 12 ds for each chain, for 13 chains on that side.
Back to the bottom of the doily do another chain of 15ds and work around the next side with chains of 12ds for number of 13 chains again.

May need blocking, depending on the tightness of the chains. If so, dampen and block to oval shape. Starch if desired.
