In Mexico the Office of the Attorney General (Spanish: Procuraduría General de la República) is an institution belonging to the Federal executive branch that is responsible of the investigation and prosecution of federal crimes.

The Attorney General's Office and its corresponding agencies, including the Federal Investigations Agency, the Federal Preventive Police and the General Direction of Expert Services are controlled by the Attorney General.

The Attorney General is a member of the President's Cabinet. The current Attorney General is Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza.
