Bilskirnir

Bilskirnir is the hall of the god Thor in Norse mythology. Here he lives with his wife Sif and their children. According to Grímnismál, the hall is the greatest of buildings and contains 540 rooms, located in Asgard, as are all the dwellings of the gods, in the kingdom of Þrúðheimr (or Þrúðvangar according to Gylfaginning and Ynglinga saga).

Bilskirnir is also an NSBM band from Germany led by a single performer named Widar.

Beliskner is the name of an Asgard starship commanded by Supreme Commander Thor, in the television series Stargate SG-1.

Bilskirnir was also the name of an Extreme Metal event held monthly in Birmingham, UK by local legends Barnabus Price and Noj. It ran consecutively each month from October 2004 until December 2005 and was hosted at the Royal George. It featured such bands as Conquest of Steel, Incantation, Amputated, Detonation, Benediction and many more. The event also raised cash for the Brain Tumour Association on behalf of the deceased Chuck Schuldiner from the band Death. Current projects for the organiser are unknown.
