Early life

Ehren McGhehey was born in McMinnville, Oregon to two morticians.[1] McGhehey's father was a strong Christian; McGhehey claims that is why he doesn't swear as much as the rest of the Jackass crew.[citation needed] The family lived above a morgue, which Ehren credits with teaching him "about life, death and how to prank people when they are least expecting it". He began to learn how to skateboard at age twelve and learned to snowboard at age fifteen. By the time he was eighteen, he was starting to get sponsors. However, when he had a snowboarding accident that resulted in a broken neck, shoulder, and knees, he decided he needed a career change.[1]

Jackass

Main article: Jackass (TV series)

After McGhehey retired from snowboarding due to his injuries, he got a job at a skate shop in Portland. While there, he began to film some of his ideas and stunts on a small scale; it wasn’t long before he was spotted by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, who put him on the Jackass team.[1] McGhehey would also go on to appear in both of the Jackass films.

Current projects

McGhehey currently manages a skate shop called Valley in McMinnville. He claims that he is working on other film and television projects.[1]
