Joakim Sundström

Joakim Sundström (b. February 27, 1965) is a Swedish sound editor, sound designer and musician.

He was born in the Baltic city of Gävle in the north east of Sweden and was brought up in Buchanan, Liberia on the West African Atlantic coast. He currently lives and works in London, England where he is married to British painter Dee Ferris. He collaborates regularly with British director Michael Winterbottom; 24 Hour Party People (2002), In This World (2002), Code 46 (2003), 9 Songs (2004), A Cock and Bull Story (2005), The Road to Guantánamo (2006), A Mighty Heart (2007), Genova (2008) and also with Kevin Macdonald; Touching the Void (2003), The Brothers Quay; The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes (2005), The Sandman (2000) and Fernando Meirelles; The Constant Gardener (2005).
