[edit] Early life and career

The son of a comedian, Greg Scott worked as a redcoat at Butlins and then as a warm-up artist on the Channel 4 programme Countdown for 13 years. In 2003 he became a presenter on price-drop tv. After almost 2 years with the channel, In July 2005 he announced that he was leaving in order to attempt to further his career, his last appearance on price-drop tv live being on 28 July 2005.

In August 2005, he made an appearance as himself in a sketch on the Channel 4 comedy series 'A Bears Tail' which was a spin off from Avid Merrion's Bo Selecta series. In this sketch he plays himself as a host on price-drop tv selling products such as Craig David's shoe and a cubic zirconia medallion. The actual price-drop tv studio was used for this sketch. He was able to make this appearance through a mutual friend of himself and Leigh Francis.

Then he became a senior host on the now defunct Quizmania on ITV Play which was also for a time broadcast on ITV1. He has gained sizeable popularity as a result of his off-the-wall, quick-witted humour and madcap presenting style and has become something of a cult figure, partly due to his on-screen persona which was reflected hugely during his time at price-drop tv and Quizmania.

Following the axing of Quizmania he went on to become a presenter on Play DJ, another ITV Play show, and also for a brief period appeared on the satellite and digital shopping TV channel iBuy. ITV announced that it had axed its ITV Play channel on 13th March 2007 and most of its minor participation tv shows, including Play DJ.
