Mâconnais

The Mâconnais region is the southern limit of the Burgundy region in France (Bourgogne in French). Wines tend to be cheaper and made for drinking young.

However, many Mâconnais wines from the southern area of Pouilly-Fuissé are popular in the United States, and become quite expensive.
