Two stars with over 20 points, two unusual double-doubles and five starters with double-figure scoring led the Portland Trail Blazers to their 40th win of the season, edging the Dallas Mavericks 108-105.

The Trail Blazers now have two games remaining to try for their first winning record since 2002-03.

Brandon Roy led the Trail Blazers with 23 points and added six assists and three steals. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds.

LaMarcus had 24 points and 15 rebounds for Portland when they played Sacramento on Friday, but his phenomenal performance was not enough to shake the home court team, who defeated Portland 103-86.
