Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy was named a 2008 NBA All-Star reserve by a vote of Western Conference head coaches, the NBA announced today.

The second-year pro and reigning NBA Rookie of the Year has helped guide the Trail Blazers to a 26-19 record, averaging 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 37.3 minutes in 45 games (all starts). He becomes the first Trail Blazer since Rasheed Wallace in 2001 to be named to the NBA All-Star team.
