{{Quakerbox row|user=Logophile|date=13:59, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)|comment=I am a descendant of early New England Friends and am very sympathetic toward Quaker testimonies. I am not an official member of the Society, but I consider the Evangelical Friends Richard Foster and Dallas Willard two of my spiritual mentors through their books.}}

{{Quakerbox row|user=Ahc|date=04:55, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)|comment=I am a member of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. My father's family has been Quaker for nearly as long as it has been an option. I have participated in events hosted by several other yearly meetings and participated
YouthQuake which have given me extensive exposure to Friends in North America. I am most interested in what divides and unites the Religious Society of Friends today.}}

|My family belonged to large mainstream Protestant churches when I was young, but when I was about fourteen became enamored of the small local Society of Friends meeting (they didn't use "religious" in their title, maintaining Quaker thought was personal belief, not religion). We attended meeting for the next five years or so, then moved out of town. I was rather shocked a few years later when I walked into a Quaker church; it was like a different planet. I haven't been to meeting in many years (there's not one remotely similar anywhere near where I now live) but have held my personal belief for nearly forty years.

Margaret_Fell (although that got merged, later on) and

|I've attended Princeton's Monthly Meeting (part of FGC.) I've written big chunks of
Quaker_views_of_homosexuality -- I didn't start the page, but it was full of misinformation, so I waded in. It could well be merged into a different article.

|I am a member of Canberra Regional Meeting. I have attended Friends' meetings since early 2001, in Canberra and before that in Brisbane. My interest in Quakerism is broad, including
Quaker_views_of_homosexuality. I am keen to see articles on Quakers reflect an international understanding of the Religious Society of Friends, but of course I am best placed to write on things relating to Australian Quakers.

|I'm a British Quaker, and am involved with Quaker Youth Theatre, Junior Young Friends, and Junior Yearly Meeting as a participant/volunteer only. I am told my Quaker heritage dates back to 1652, and I'm going to apply for membership soon (I'm an attender, currently).

|I'm a British Quaker, down as an "attender". I currently go to Warwickshire
Junior_Young_Friends and have started an article on it (though under an older and now redundant user name). I went to BYM at York in 2005, plan to go to BYM in May 2006, and will be at JYM this year too

|I am a Friend in 15th Street Meeting of New York Yearly Meeting. I joined Friends in Albany, New York in 1968 and transferred to 15th Street in the early 1970's. My understanding of Quakerism is possibly more in line with that of so-called "conservative" unprogrammed meetings such as Ohio Yearly Meeting than it is with the generally liberal meeting to which I actually belong. Still I am pretty comfortable (most of the time) at 15th Street. I have served in various capacities over the years: ranging from greeter at the door to clerk of the meeting. Currently I am a member of the Ministry and Worship Committee. I also maintain a blog called
Brooklyn Quaker

{{Quakerbox row|user=rgathercoal|name=Roy|date=07:01, 10 August 2006 (UTC)|comment=I'm not sure I'm doing any of this correctly, but please know that I do not intend to offend. I am a member of Northwest Yearly Meeting, living in Newberg, Oregon. I have been involved deeply with Friends for the last thirty years or so. My wife (Kathleen) and I have both served on exec committee for Friends Association for Higher Education (FAHE) so have developed several good friendships with Quakers from all over the place, including, in no particular order Baltimore, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Kansas, Ohio, Guildford, California (especially Whittier), Bolivia, Peru, Kenya, Rwanda, England, Iowa, and of course, Oregon/Washington/Idaho (both NWYM and PYM). Encountered Friends when I attended George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon and began a process of becoming convinced. I am not a joiner by nature, but the fit was so exact I finally could not resist. Earned PhD in Org Com, with foci in Semiotics/Anth linguistics/Philosophy and Communication (so I tend to focus on organizations, structures and the "why" things are like they are). I am an evangelical, but am wondering if the term is particularly useful any more, given how it has been drug around by the political right. I am frequently amazed at how misunderstood various groups of Quakers seem to be, especially by one another. Supporter of FCNL, AFSC, RSWR, etc.}}
