Double/Quadruple Picot Snowflake.
This snowflake is made with the first ring with a pock picot and the second ring a split ring. But can be done making the first ring of 6 p's cut and tie. Measures approx. 3½".
Center Ring With Mock Picot: 2ds - 2ds - 2ds - 2ds - 2ds - 2ds cl making your false picot for next round. (if making each round separately make center ring 6 p's sep. by 2ds each, close and tie off)
Split Ring: 2ds - 2ds - 2ds / 2ds - 2ds - 2ds DNT (if making each round separately make a ring of 2ds - 2ds - 2ds + join on p of center ring, 2ds - 2ds - 2ds.)
DPR: 3ds - 3ds DP(make large P of 3" - 7.62 Cm 2ds make loop over needle.) 3ds - 3ds cl rw
Ch: 6ds - 3ds rw
QPR: 3ds - 3ds QP (make 3" P - 7.62Cm 2ds make another P of 2" - 5.68 Cm and make loop through the 2" P first, 2ds then loop through the 3" P.) 3ds - 3ds rw
Ch: 3ds + (to picot on first chain) 6ds DNT
*R: 2ds - 2ds - 2ds + (join to next free picot on center ring) 2ds - 2ds - 2ds DNT
DPR: 3ds - 3ds DP 3ds - 3ds Cl Rw
Ch: 6ds - 3ds rw
QPR: 3ds - 3ds QP 3ds - 3ds cl rw
Ch: 3ds + 6ds rw
Continue around from *R for 6 double Picots and 6 quadruple. Make last chain and join to base of first double made.
These picots can be made with a Double Picot, Triple Picot and the Quadruple Picot. But if you find it hard to do the quad you could do them all in the double, or just a regular picot.
