 I do apologize again for the lousy shots of the doily. I added a closer view of  half of it so you can see the rounds a bit better. This doily was made with Frosty Green # 10 thread and using the Needle, but can also be done with the Shuttle. The center piece measures approximately 8" using a medallion working down with different size rings. Another medallion is made at the other end and worked back up.
There are 5 rounds made, but if your knowledgeable of doing split rings/chains you could possibly work continuous thread. The rounds do take a bit more thread than normal on the needle, so you may still have to end on a ring and tie on more thread to continue.
R = Ring SmR =  Small Ring of 2ds 5 p's sep. by 2ds each 2ds LR = Large R of 6ds 3p's sep. by 6ds's each. 
Ch = Chain P = Picot Cl = Close Rw = Reverse work

(If you have any problem understanding the pattern, please feel free to contact me. I tried to shorten the directions a bit and hope they are not confusing. You will do all the chains the same and they may seem to be making the doily curl, but as you work out you will see that the chains at the top are a bit more pointed and the sides are rounded out more. Keep working, it will lay flat as you work out.)

Work the medallion same as above. With 7 rings in all. * Joining the side p to the last ring made, and make sure you join your 7th ring to the first one made to close medallion.
Once the medallion is done, Make another small ring of 3ds.
Now follow from ** to work the other side up.
Once your at the top again and joined the last ring to the medallion, make the last small chain of 3ds and attach to the base of the ring. Tie off - Hide ends.
Round 1:  This round is all the small ring of  2ds 5 picots and chains of 3ds 3 p's
Start on the top right side of the medallion. This chain and the top left one will have two rings on them.

The next 6 chains down only has one P in center so a ring will be added to each free picot. 
Work down the side of the center chains, doing a ring on each free p of  chains, reversing work to do a chain. For a total of six (6) rings down the side.
We will be back to the other medallion, work one ring on the center p of that chain, and on the next one. Follow from * for the top and back down the side.
The last two chains back at top will have one ring in center picot of each.
Make last chain, join in base of first ring made, tie cut and hide ends.
Round 2: Start at the top chain of last round.

*To work down the side do another LR joining to the last SmR.  Chain again, and work down the side for 6 more LR's. So now you should have 7 LR's from the last SmR.

From this point you will work around the Top with, a SmR - Ch - LR - Ch, For a total of  8 SmR's, 14 chains made after each ring.  7 LR's. So we start with a SmR and end with the 8th SmR.

Work down the side again with the 7  LR rings*

Finish up around the top with
SmR's 4 in all - make sure you join the last smr to the first lr made.

Ch Finish with the last chain joining to the base of 1st LR. Tie cut hide ends.
3rd Round - This round is easy, it is just SmR's and chains of 6p6.
SmR 2ds p 2ds p 2ds + join to any free picot on the previous round. 2ds p 2ds p 2ds Cl Rw.

Continue around with SmR's and Chains all the way around joining each ring to the prev. chain on last round.
4th Round - This round is much like the 2nd round
Start with the center chain at the top of prev. round
