This was done with individual rounds, you will have to cut and tie off for each round. # 5 needle and # 10 Threads. Try to use all the same brand of thread, I used a different brand for my light green and was a lot softer and did not turn out as nice as the dark green.
Center Onion Ring:
R 9ds vsp 9ds cl rw
14ds + (to picot on first ring) vsp 14ds join to base of 1st ring cl rw
20ds + vsp 20ds join to base of 2nd ring cl rw
6ds vsp 6ds vsp 6ds vsp 6ds + (join to top picot) vsp- do 4 more for other side, join in base of ring. Cut tie hide ends.
1st round:
R 9ds vsp 9ds cl rw
14ds + 14ds cl rw
8ds p 12ds + 12ds p 8ds cl rw
Ch 6ds + to any picot on Center ring. Rw
Work around the same as first onion ring joining to the side picot of previous onion. Then chain as before. Joining last ring (8th) to first, and last chain to the base of first ring. Cl cut hide ends.
2nd Rd: Use a Lock Join as you work around the chains, shape the chaind and pull the needle thread up through the picot, put needle through the loop made and close it down on the picot. This locks the chain so it does not pull to tightly.
Ch Join new thread to top of any onion ring: 9ds p 9ds p 9ds join around to each onion ring top for 8 chains around. Join last chain to first, cut and tie off
3rd Rd: Use a Lock Join as you work around the chains, shape the chaind and pull the needle thread up through the picot, put needle through the loop made and close it down on the picot. This locks the chain so it does not pull to tightly.
Ch Join to first p of chain, 6ds p 6ds join to 2nd picot of same chain.
From that picot do 6ds p 6ds p 6ds p 6ds join over to the first picot on the next chain. Work around with these two chains joining the last chain to the first.
Border 4th Rd:
R 2ds p 2ds p 2ds + (join to 3rd picot over on long chain) 2ds p 2ds p 2ds RW
Ch 2ds p 2ds p 2ds p 2ds p 2ds p 2ds p 2ds p 2ds RW
R Ring same as first small ring. (skipping the center picot of the long chain, and join ring in the 1st picot on long chain) cl rw
Chain again, 2ds 7 picots sep. by 2ds as in first chain. RW
R Same ring, joining this one to the small chain picot.
Working around so you have two rings on the long chains and one on the small chains. Joining last chain to first and base of ring.
