These Tutorials show how to work off the ball, which is making rings and chains, and with the Needle & Thread method where the thread is cut off the ball thread. List also includes both Needle and Shuttle Terms Advanced Techniques in Tatting - Tutorials on some of the more advanced techniques after you have learned the basic rings and chains. Learn To Shuttle Tat, by first learning to Finger Tat - Some members have wanted to learn Shuttle Tatting and bought a Shuttle only to lay it aside because they cannot figure out the basics. The hardest part about learning to shuttle tat is the Flip of the thread, which is transferring the hand thread over to the shuttle thread. Now if you want to learn to Shuttle Tat, check out this tutorial showing how to use just a couple feet of thread to learn the basics. Then maybe you will pick that shuttle back up or be enticed to buy yourself one. Members Hints & Tips Message Board - A few helpful tips by members and myself. If you have a helpful Hint or Tip that you use for your tatting please feel free to add to this board any time. We all Tat a bit differently and sometimes we like to try different ways that might be easier.
