Split Ring Book-Mark© 2002 http://groups.msn.com/NeedleTattingTwo
Split rings are worked up with a ring of 6 p's to ring of 10 p's to center then worked back from 10 p' s to 6 p's. Tassel of 100 JK for spiral chain and tassel added. Measures approx. 12" from top to tassel end.
If your not familiar with split rings, they are the first half of your ring made on the point of the needle, un-thread the eye and use that thread to make the other half of the ring. Re-thread and close the ring, and then continue making splits all the way up.

The JK(Josephine Knot) is just doing the first half of the double stitch, it is best if you do about 10 half stitch's first, and spiral them on the needle, do a few more and spiral them. This way it is easier to make them spiral nicely before taking them off the needle.
