http://groups.msn.com/NeedleTattingTwo This is a side piece I did for a small table, it is made by using the medallion, and adding them to the next one. It can be made to be a square also. The center was added later, which is optional. This medallion was made with 12 rings and chains. The other photo at the bottom shows how to do a edging.
Also see the Split Ring Technique for doing the center and medallion CTM.

Ch 3ds P 3ds P 3ds P 3ds Cl & RW
R 2ds P 2ds + (to next to last picot of prev ring) 2ds P 2ds P 2ds P 2ds Cl & Rw
Repeat these step until you have 12 rings, making sure you attach the last ring to the 11th ring and to the first ring. Then do your 12th chain and close, hiding ends. To attach a new medallion refer to photo, and just keep adding to the size required to make square or however you desire.
The center of each medallion is optional, it was made by doing 3ds P 3ds P 3ds P 3ds but do not turn work, just start next one by doing 3ds + 3ds second picot attach to medallion 3ds P 3ds - continue around four times, see photo.
Split Ring Technique:
Make the center by doing three of the rings and on the fourth (4th) one make a split of 3 + 3 / 3 + 3 Close and then work the first ring of the medallion 2 - 2- 2 / 2 - 2 - 2 close and continue from chain. **
EDGING: I started on the first empty chain on the side, just before the corner of joined medallions. Join to center picot of that ch.

R for corner. make one ring do not turn, make second ring joining to the center picot of the next empty ch.
Ch same as above
From that corner continue around with 6 more rings and chain, then making another double ring for corner, continue around till you reach first ring made and tie and cut hide ends.
