A Studious Findings and Views on Ethiopia's Election 2005
Ethnicity, Economic Conditions, and Opposition Support: Evidence From Ethiopia's Election 2005
Thanks for sending Leo’s paper. This is an excellent paper that builds on a paper that Leo presented at the 3rd ICEDS in June 2005 in Addis Ababa. I met Leo in Addis at the US Embassy (during my visit on a short Fulbright Program) and learned that he was doing research on the Ethiopian elections and political parties. We had wonderful conversation. I asked him if he could prepare paper to present in our conference, and he accepted my invitation with enthusiasm. I find his paper to be the most objective analytics of the Ethiopian elections. I congratulate him for his fine work. A version of his paper will also appear in the near future Northeast African Studies (NEAS) Journal published by the Michigan State University under my guest editorship.
