Roads & Travel Conditions

Watch for construction and closures on these Forest Service roads. Construction completion dates are approximate.

  • Marys Peak Road ~ Winter Closure Status
    Marys Peak Road closes for winter from the first major snowfall until road is snow free (typically from late November through March) at the Lower Gate (milepost 5.5 at Conner's Camp) and/or the Upper Gate (milepost 7.9).

    Depending on weather and road conditions, the Lower Gate is sometimes opened during the winter. The Upper Gate is closed all season.

Other Advisories

Umpqua Dunes Area:
Due to a series of winter storms, most low lying areas of the Umpqua Dunes are under water. Water covers the sand entry points at both the Umpqua 2 and Umpqua 3 staging areas.
Please call the Oregon Dunes office for the latest conditions.

The shelter at Umpqua #3 is closed until repairs are completed.

This site has links to a variety of weather related information like sunrise-sunset tables, satellite images, buoy reports, and wave forecasts.
