Wild Mare Horse Camp
Location: 1.5 miles north of North Bend, Oregon. Access: From North Bend, proceed north 1.5 miles to Jordan Cove Road. Turn left and proceed 1 mile, turning right on Transpacific Highway. Travel 100 feet turning right on Horsfall Beach Road. Proceed 1½ miles down Horsfall road. Nearby: Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area , Wild Mare Horse Trail, Bluebill, Bluebill Loop, Horsfall OHV, Horsfall Beach OHV Elevation: Sea level Use: Light in winter-spring. Heavy in summer & fall. Season: open year round. Fees (per site per night): Yes. # of Sites: 12 corral sites; 1 campsite Facilities: Potable drinking water, vault toilets, garbage containers, fire rings, picnic tables. Activities: Camping, dune & beach access for horseback riding. Day use area nearby is for picnicking and horse back riding for small groups. Description & Attractions: campground located in shorepine, Douglas-fir and huckleberry. The campgound is ½ mile from the Pacific Ocean and beach and is a popular place to horseback riding as well.
