The Fotopic gallery system is one of the most complex and feature-rich in the world - you can take advantage of this for your own company using our branded gallery service. That way you can take advantage of all the Fotopic features for your users, keeping your own company name on the site and just leaving us to worry about the details!

It's all very simple:

• You provide us with company colours and graphics.
• You point the right bits of your Internet domain name at our gallery servers.
• We add your users to our shared hosting platform - they're still your users, and we needn't reveal ourselves or the Fotopic brand.
• We'll do the user support, or take this on yourself.
• We can integrate your own ordering system and workflow if you require.
• You get peace of mind, a fully featured gallery system, all without high implementation and running costs!

Our charging mechanism is extremely flexible based on users, transit, or image throughput.

Organisation

Organisation of your system can be flexible, but we recommend that you have one gallery per user of your service (a gallery is the equivalent of a photo album - users can then create collections within their galleries).

Collections are groups of pictures which may relate to one date or event (such as a holiday destination, or day trip, etc.)

Addresses

We can make the gallery addresses a hostname from your main domain name.

For instance, if your domain is yourname.co.uk then your users can have gallery addresses of gallery1.yourname.co.uk or johnsmith.yourname.co.uk ...or we can try and find a new domain purely for your photo gallery services!

Collections

Our users currently upload their images themselves, and at publishing time can either add their images to a new collection or create a new one. If a new collection is created, they are required to give that collection a title, and given the option to put their collection into a group.

Additional headings or requests for information can be added into this section for your customers if required. For instance, you may wish to ask them to state which holiday resort the pictures were taken in or ask for other information which you would like to be easily searchable.

Groups

Our users have the option of grouping some of their collections which may have common topics for groups - eg. families, holidays, sports etc. This option can also be available for your users, and the groups can be altered to fit with your own specific requirements.

Gallery Display

The Fotopic gallery options are very varied - users can select their own skin for their galleries, decide what information they display on their gallery pages, how their pictures are ordered, the number of collections they list on the front page etc.

You may choose how much of this flexibility you want to offer to your own user base, and we can remove any of the options that you don't want made available to your users. So for instance you may wish your users to be restricted to just one skin for their galleries in order to reflect your company identity.

Upload of Images

Upload of images is quick and easy - users can send their images over their browser, by email or FTP.

These methods are also available to you for upload of images together with integration using our toolkit API for integration into your workflow.

For very large numbers of images, you may prefer to give us cds for us to dump into the system. This will have an additional cost requirement to cover administration costs and so must be considered carefully. We will be able to give you an estimate based on frequency and volumes.

Please speak to our staff to work out the best upload methods for you.

Quota Space

You can control and decide how much upload space you would like to give your users. Part of your monthly charge will reflect the amount of space that you expect to use. As a guideline, Fotopic gives its users 250MB of space free when they sign up with us, and then we charge for every 250MB extra, with discounts for larger space purchases. If desireable, you can follow this model yourselves, or choose another method of space distribution.

Administration

Behind the whole Fotopic system is a simple admin system which allows us to check on the status of all our users, including their quota allowances, user type, and other user information. This admin system shows all the information that you should need about your users, and can be customised to show any additional info that you feel is relevant. This can also be tied to your own customer database if required.

Support

Fotopic offers an e-mail support service to its user-base, run by the Fotopic admin staff. We find that many users require basic support. Please let us know if you require us to run your support service for you.

Training

Once this service is implemented for you, we will provide half a day's training for your staff as part of your introductory package. Should you require any additional training, a charge will be made per session.
