Pastors.com is changing.  This is a part of an effort to better serve all those with whom God has brought us into contact. 

For many years, Pastors.com has been your choice for tools, resources, and inspiration for growing a healthy church. It has been a place where pastors and church leaders come for practical helps, experienced instruction, and a sense of shared vision and identity.

That vision will not change.

Pastor Rick made a commitment years ago to support, encourage, and train local pastors everywhere. He has been a teacher and a source of encouragement for many. Over the years, tens of thousands of pastors throughout the U.S. and hundreds of thousands of pastors throughout the world have benefitted from his clear teaching through Purpose Driven seminars, his many helpful and practical books including "The Purpose Driven Church" and "The Purpose Driven Life," as well as years’ worth of articles, pod-casts, and personal interactions, both face to face and via the Internet.

That commitment will not change.

So what is going to change?

First, all the books, tools, small group materials, messages, workshops, and ministry tools we’ve offered here will continue to be available at www.saddlebackresources.com.  
Pastors.com will continue to host the Ministry Toolbox and Pastor Forums.  Second, we pray that Pastors.com will become a place “where pastors hang out.”  In addition to the inspirational and instructive communication you’ve come to expect from Pastor Rick, we want this to be a place to promote collaborative community among pastors worldwide.  Among many hopes and ideas, we intend to make it a site:

We want to be part of what God is doing in this world, building his kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven.”  We believe the vision of the P.E.A.C.E. Plan is one of the primary directions God is leading us—a call to all churches and members to heed his command to “make disciples of all nations.”  Ordinary people empowered by God, making a difference together, wherever they are.  We invite you to personally participate in this worldwide mission movement.

Twenty five years ago, Pastor Rick called his preaching ministry "The Encouraging Word."  Our deepest desire here at Pastors.com will be to take that same inspired vision into the next generation. We are here to inspire, train, create community, and encourage local pastors, just like you, all over the world.
