[edit] Turner painting

(I may be wrong but) isn't the painting on the side of this template a Turner? Turner wasn't an impressionist (although some may argue that he was a proto-impressionist). Anyway, maybe consider changing the painting.--58.107.253.14 09:17, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

The painting is Impression, Sunrise. See the following from the Monet article: In 1872 (or 1873), he painted Impression, Sunrise (Impression: soleil levant) depicting a Le Havre landscape. It hung in the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874 and is now displayed in the Musée Marmottan-Monet, Paris. From the painting's title, art critic Louis Leroy coined the term "Impressionism", which he intended to be derogatory, however the Impressionists appropriated the term for themselves.[1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Remember (talkcontribs) 13:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
