Richard Sterban (born April 24, 1943) is an American bass singer from Camden, New Jersey, who joined the country and gospel band The Oak Ridge Boys in 1972. Prior to joining The Oak Ridge Boys, Sterban had been touring with J. D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet, who were singing backup for Elvis Presley. Sterban now lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his wife, Donna.
He has recorded public service announcements for NOAA Weather Radio, and on Sirius Satellite Radio he has served as the voice of The Roadhouse, the classic country channel. Sterban is also a minority owner of the Nashville Sounds minor league baseball team, the AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
He is best recognized for singing the "ba-oom papa oom papa mow mow" portion of the Oak Ridge Boys' song "Elvira".
