Jonathan Frederick Togo (born August 25, 1977) is an American actor.

Togo was born in Rockland, Massachusetts, the son of Sheila, a store owner, and Michael Togo, a graphic designer.[1] Togo's mother is of Italian and Irish descent and his father is Jewish, with the original family surname being "Tonkaviev" was shortened by a forefather who wanted something snappier for his carpet business. .[2]

He was raised in Rockland, Massachusetts. As a child, he attended a Hebrew school and graduated from Rockland High School in 1995, where he was a wrestler. He went on to attend Vassar College, graduating with an B.A in theater, and furthered his studies at the National Theater Institute of the Eugene O’Neill Theater. While at Vassar he performed in a band named "The El Conquistadors" (originally named Skabba the Hut) with Sam Endicott and John Conway, both of whom are now members of the successful band The Bravery.

Togo has brown hair and hazel eyes.and is 5′ 11″. He is a competitive cyclist, plays the saxophone and guitar, is left-handed, and wears glasses. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder of a clown waving a wand while riding a bee. Between filming CSI: Miami Scenes Togo and Adam Rodriguez fellow CSI:Miami Actor are seen playing the guitar together. He is has been good friends with actor Justin Long since college. He is currently single and is often mistaken for fellow CSI actor Eric Szmanda. He describes himself as a dork.

Togo has performed and participated in numerous plays, including Our Country's Good for which he won an award. Jon has several TV show credits under his belt including a starring role in Special Unit 2, as well as appearances in Judging Amy, Law & Order, Ed, and The Jury. Togo's most notable film credit is from Mystic River. He is most famous for his role as Ryan Wolfe in the extremely popular crime drama CSI: Miami, starring David Caruso.


[edit] Resembleance from Dino Crisis 2

Jonathan Togo highly resembles a CAPCOM fictional video game character named David Fork who appears in Dino Crisis 2. It is very possible that CAPCOM created David Fork after Jonathan Togo.
