Mayu Shinjo (新條まゆ Shinjō Mayu?, born January 26, 1973) is a Japanese manga artist. She has created many different manga, centering around the themes of love, sex, and general romance. After her debut with "Anata no Iro ni Somarita" or "I Want to Be Dyed Your Color" in 1994, she created a flurry of other sexy short stories and was ready to be published by a magazine. She frequently appears in the manga magazine, Shoujo Comic.
Shinjo is best known for her manga that put ordinary girls into titillating situations with more handsome, older men. Her stories borderline hentai, but are more of a soft ecchi. In the United States, she is most famous for her manga Kaikan Phrase or Sensual Phrase, published by Viz Media, which has been made into both drama CDs and video. Only two of her works have been licensed in North America to-date: Kaikan Phrase and Haou Airen, which has yet to be released.
