Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer

The Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) is a robotic NASA mission to the Moon currently planned for launch in 2011. This mission's main objective is to study the tenuous atmosphere of the Moon. It was announced during the presentation of NASA's FY09 budget in February 2008[1].
