FIND A C2P2 GRANT (From 2003 to Mid 2007) The bureau’s mission is to be a leader in establishing community conservation partnerships for advancing the greening of Pennsylvania, for protecting the Commonwealth’s natural and heritage resources, and for providing recreational opportunities for all Pennsylvanians and visitors to enjoy. DCNR manages a variety of grant and technical assistance programs concerned with community recreation, heritage regions, rivers conservation, greenways and trails, and natural areas and open space under a single office, the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. A priority goal of the bureau is to develop and sustain partnerships with communities, non-profits and other organizations for recreation and conservation projects and purposes. The DCNR's Bureau of Recreation and Conservation is responsible for fostering, facilitating and nurturing the great majority of these partnerships through technical assistance and grant funding from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2).
