The Niue national rugby league team has been participating in international competition since 1992.

Niue has participated in the Pacific Cup in 1992 and 1998, and the Pacific Rim Competition in 2004.

Being such a small nation most of their players end up based off-shore and represent other nations instead. Notable players with Niuean bloodlines include Dene Halatau, Hitro Okesene and Motu Tony.
