Mary, mother of John Mark

Mary (Hebrew מרים Miryām, Miryam "Bitter") is a character in the Bible.
She is the mother of John, surnamed Mark and was one of the earliest of Jesus' disciples. She was the sister of Barnabas (Colossians 4:10), and joined with him in disposing of their land and giving the proceeds of the sale into the treasury of the early Christian Church (Acts 4:37; 12:12). Her house in Jerusalem was the common meeting-place for the disciples there.
It is likely that she was a widow.[1]
Some have conjectured she is the same Mary mentioned in Romans 16:6.
