Wheeler Ridge is a small unincorporated town in Kern County, California. Prior to the development of the Grapevine settlement down the road, Wheeler Ridge had the last services before the climb up Tejon Pass along old U.S. Route 99. Currently it is the point where State Route 99 ends and merges with Interstate 5. Before the 1964 California state highway renumbering, US-99 passed through along the old Ridge Route.

Today, there has been modest development in the Wheeler Ridge area, most notably the IKEA Distribution Center at the foot of the pass.

On April 16, 2005, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck near Wheeler Ridge, but it was considerably north of the San Andreas Fault, which formed the gap in the Tejon Pass.

Street addresses in Wheeler Ridge are addressed as "Arvin, California."
