Wederson (born July 22, 1981 in Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil), full name Wederson Luiz da Silva Medeiros, is a Brazilian-Turkish football player currently playing for Fenerbahçe He signed a 3 year contract with Fenerbahçe on June 11, 2007.[2]

Wederson holds dual-citizenship with Turkey [3] his Turkish name is Gökçek Vederson.[4] Having not been capped by the Brazil national football team, Wederson has the option of playing for Turkey if called up as his team-mate Mehmet Aurélio.

He also played for Internacional, Vasco da Gama, Juventude for short times in Brazil before moved to Ituano FC.
