As Shawnigan is a university preparatory
school, it is deemed important that students learn strategies to
prepare and sit cumulative assessments, such as those they will
encounter in university. The review process in preparation for final
examinations is intended to solidify student understanding and is
also an opportunity to make or reinforce the links between different
parts of the curriculum. It is the School's position, therefore,
that all students will sit a final examination in each academic
course at each grade level whether these are internal or provincial
examinations. Please click here to read more about final exams at
Shawnigan in 2008.
